Meet Our New Christian Education Coordinator

Hello!  For those of you I have not met yet, my name is Christine Graham Taylor, and I live in Hopkinton, with my husband Greg, who is a director at Staples corporate headquarters in Framingham, working in the chain supply chain division.  My stepdaughter Meagan Taylor is a freshman Hartwick College, in New York State..

I am a “local”, growing up in Hopkinton, and attending Framingham State College for my undergraduate degree in Education and Psychology.  I was a Kindergarten Aide for a year in Hopkinton while I figured out what to do next, and then became a Curriculum Developer at the Boston Museum of Science for several years in the Outreach Education Department.  I then attended Andover Newton Theological School, earning my Master of Divinity degree in 1996. 

While in seminary, I began working as the Youth Minister at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury.  Upon graduation, I took over the Christian Education and Confirmation programs, and worked full time there until the end of 2007, when my position was cut, due to budget constraints. 

I am a certified Christian Education Specialist with the United Church of Christ, and hold a certificate from Youth Ministry Leadership Academy, offered through the National Episcopal Church Center. I have also completed three Youth Ministry Forums at Princeton Theological Seminary.  I have attended and led many Youth and Christian Education workshops, and led over 15 mission trips, one to Curico, Chile.  I have been involved with the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ, serving on the Commission for Christian Education from 2000-2003.

I am very excited to be a part of the Federated Church family, and look forward to getting to know everyone and building up a creative and fun Sunday school program, and meeting all the teachers and students.
